The Sentence Class 3 English Grammar Worksheet – Match the Columns, Rearrange the words with a Proper Sentence
The Sentence
A sentence is nothing but a group of words joined together to express something. In a sentence verb should be there and it should always end with a full stop (.), In case of questions it should end with question mark (?) And in case of exclamatory sentence it should end with exclamation mark (!).
I) Match the columns to form a sentence

II) Rearrange the words to from a proper sentence. Start with the words underlined
1) Am/I/book/reading
2) Plays/cricket/Ravi
3) Team/our/have/match/won/the
4) Your/tie/shoes
5) Round/world/is
6) Goes/school/Ram/to/everyday
7) Obey/we/our/should/elders
8) Playing/boys/are
9) Love/travel/to/I
10) Glass/me/a/of/glass/bring/water
Note :- whenever we ask a question, we use “when, how, what, where, why, who” or use verbs such as, “is, are, am, was, has, have, were” at the beginning of the sentence.
Some examples –
Normal sentence –Ravi is reading a book.
Question – Is Ravi reading a book?
Similarly we can ask, Who is Ravi? Or What is Ravi reading?
III) Change the portions of the Verbs to form question. Always start the question with a capital letter and end with a question mark.
1) Ravi was running fast.
2) He can play cricket.
3) They have made a big building.
4) Children were playing in the field.
5 )It is raining heavily.
IV) Rearrange the words to form question. Start with the underlined words and end with a question mark.
1) Are/you/where/going
2) You/what/doing/are

4) Is/your/bestfriend/who
5) Go/school/when/do/you/to
6) Like/chocolate/you/do
