1.) Let’s Talk.
i) What are the children doing?
Answer. The children are laughing and playing together. They are very happy to see beautiful rainbow and lots of butterflies around them.
ii) Do you think they are happy? How do you know?
Answer. Yes, I can see that they are happy.
They are laughing and dancing in joy. They are chasing butterflies and playing with them.
iii) Have you ever seen a rainbow? When and where?
Answer. Yes, I have seen rainbow.
I have seen rainbow in the sky from the rooftop just after rain when the sky was bit cloudy.
iv) How many colours do you see in a rainbow?
Answer. I can see seven colours in a rainbow.
2,) Now find out the different colours from the rainbow which we can see in things around us. Write the colours also.
Violet, blue, sky blue, green, yellow, orange, red.

i) Can you touch a rainbow with your hand?
Answer. No, I cannot touch a rainbow with hand, I just can see it.
ii) Can you stand on a rainbow and use it as a slide? Why / Why not?
Answer. No, I cannot stand on a rainbow and use it as a slide.
Rainbow floats and forms in the layer of atmosphere so it cannot be touched or we cannot land on it.
iii) Why don’t we see rainbows every time after it rains?
Answer. Rainbow requires water droplets to float in the air. The sun should be behind us while the clouds clear away from the sky. That is the time when a rainbow can appear which does not happen every time after rain.

Answer. Yeti is a snowman. It is very big, strong and powerful.
The photographer named N.A Tombazi who was trekking in the mountains of Sikkim many years back learnt about the footsteps of the yeti at zemu in Sikkim.
No, he was from Greece.
iii) What did the children’s uncle like about the mountains?
Answer. The children’s uncle liked the nature and beautiful mountains.
iv) When you see the mountains, how do you feel? Describe the mountains.
Answer. When I see the mountains, I feel extremely delighted and calm from within. I find peace amidst of nature. I feel like I can sit and talk to the mountain for long.
v) Why do people come to search for Yeti? Do you think that Yetis can harm us?
Answer. People come to search for yeti to see this strange creature with their eyes.
No, I do not think yetis can harm us without any reason. They ca harm us to protect themselves if we disturb them.
3.) Let’s Talk and Write.
Read the line from the story- ‘Karpu is a sweet little girl.’ The word sweet and little is telling us something about Karpu. It tells us that Karpu is sweet and little. Now use the words below to write about some of your friends in the class. You can also write about your teacher.
Ramesh is a tall and smart boy in the class.
Rinku is short and beautiful girl.
Riyan is little and naughty boy in the class.

Mount Khangchendzonga is the tall mountain peak in Nepal and India border. It looks extremely beautiful when the sun rise falls upon it in early morning. The entire mountain range turns into magical golden colour. People have to stay in extreme cold to see the view of mount Khangchendzonga. In overall, it will give a wonderful experience to get the view of mount Khangchendzonga.

The great Himalayan Mountain range is the world’s highest mountain range.
Mount Everest is the highest mountain peak of the Himalayan mountain ranges. The Himalayas cross through five countries Nepal, India, china, Pakistan and Bhutan. Popular hill stations have been set up as attractive tourists’ places in the lap of Himalayan mountain range like Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttrakhand, west Bengal etc. Siachen glacier is the largest glacier of the Himalayan mountain range.

Answer. The name of five flowers that grow in magic garden are sunflower, rose, marigold, poppy and pansy.
iv) Which sound could the children hear in the garden?
Answer. The children could hear the sound of the fairies’ songs in the garden.

I also like the golden hour of sun set when the sky becomes golden too.
