i) What are the children in the picture wishing for?
Answer. the children in the picture wishing for flying in the sky,playing the role of a doctor, holding colourful umbrella under the sky, playing video games, sitting on the lap of mother, sleeping and dreaming in comfortable bed and winning trophy.
ii) What is the teacher wishing for?
Answer. The teacher is wishing for cooking and eating delicious food.
iii) Who do you see outside the window? What is he wishing for?
Answer. I see the gardener watering plants in the garden outside the window.
He is wishing to pluck mangoes from a nearby tree.
iv) Do you also wish for the same things?
Answer. Yes, I also wish to do the same things like the children.
v) What does your mother/ father/ grandmother/ grandfather/ aunty or uncle wish for you? Are their wishes the same as yours? Find out.
Answer. My mother wishes for my well-being and positive mindset.
My father wishes for my strength and bravery.
My grandmother wishes for my safety in all places.
My grandfather wishes that I should achieve all my goals.
My aunty wishes for my security and healthy life.
My uncle wishes to keep up my positive attitude.

For my class- I wish digital classroom for my class where we can learn with digital tools and develop our technological learning.
For my school- I want well-furnished school building with computer lab, science lab and library.
For Sikkim- I want to see more greenery in my state.
For my best friend- I want happy, fulfilled and prosperous life for my best friend. I want to be together with my best friend for the entire life.
For India- I want more literacy rate among people and employment opportunities for educated people in India.
For my family- I wish to fulfil all wishes of my family members and give them and happy and secured life ahead.
For myself- I wish to live a happy and peaceful life. I want cherish all little things in life to find happiness. I want to achieve all goals and dream with hard work.
For the world- I wish to see peace and harmony in the entire world where countries will help each other in development.
For my neighbours- I wish to arrange facilities for fulfilling the basic needs of my neighbours.

i) Do all caterpillars turn into butterflies?
Answer. No, all caterpillars do not turn into butterflies. Some butterflies lose their lives in their entire life cycle before turning into butterflies.
ii) Did you like the story? Why? Why not?
Answer. Yes, I liked the story.
I liked the positive attitude of the caterpillar that it kept despite failing to fly every time. It did not give up and waited for the right time when it got its own colourful wings. The caterpillar became sad every time it fall on the ground but it moved ahead to fly whenever got chance. Then it became so happy when it learned to fly with its wings finally. This positive attitude of the caterpillar gave me different perspective to have patience.
iii) If you were a butterfly, what would you do?
If I were a butterfly I would fly to each colourful flower wherever I want. I will suck nectar from flowers and move around gardens.
iv) The caterpillar turned into a butterfly. Do you want to change? How would you like to change? What animal or person would you like to change to?
Answer. Yes, if I can change myself then I will change definitely.
I want to be changed into a bird. I want to fly high in the sky and roam around different countries. I want to live with full freedom like birds. I can eat fruits from anywhere and catch fishes from rivers to find food. I can fly alone or within a group based upon my mood. I can see the world and its different places of beauty with my own eyes.
v) Do you think the caterpillar wished to become a butterfly?
Answer. No, the caterpillar did not know about the later stage of its life. It did not know that it wold turn into a butterfly with wings. That is why it was sad when failed to fly. Later when it got its own wings and started flying it became so happy.
4.) Munch and crunch ends with ‘ch’. Let’s add ch to the following:
a) lunch, b) bunch, c) teach, d) reach, e) peach, f) beach.
Make some more words with ch:
New words with ch: catch, hitch, preach, rich, ditch.
Make sentences with any 2 words that you have made:

Answer. Yes, I like the caterpillar in the story.

8.) Can you think of words to describe the caterpillar?
Brave, patient, positive, smart.

Answer. The caterpillar was brave enough to try to fly whenever it got chance. It fall every time from the balloon, paper plane and red kite after flying for some time with it. But it did not lose hope and tried hard to fly. It stayed positive though became sad after falling. It went to sleep in its cocoon and slept for long till it turned into butterfly.

Answer. Penzi wants an umbrella so badly because she hates her oversized duck-back raincoats and the rubbery gumboots.
ii) Why did Penzi talk to Amla first and not to Pala?
Answer. Penzi talked to Amla first and not to Pala because she was afraid to ask anything to him.
iii) How did Penzi feel when she saw the black umbrella?
Answer. Penzi felt very sad and cried when she saw the black umbrella.
iv) How do you think Pala and Amla felt when Penzi did not like the umbrella?
Answer. Pala and Amla laughed at Penzi when she did not like the umbrella.
v)What do you think Penzi’s friends said?
Answer. I think Penzi’s friend said that her umbrella was not like her teacher’s as it was black.

Answer. No, I have not been disappointed like this.
vii) What did Penzi do when she saw the black umbrella? Do you think that it was a good thing to do?
Answer. Penzi cried loudly when she saw the umbrella was black.
Yes, I think crying is good because it helps to express emotions and feel lighter.

Answer. If the poet was a superhero he would fly in the sky beside racing birds with its outstretched arms, he would have extra strong legs to jump across towers, he would save all oceans with his secret and magical clear up potions, he would save all the trees, mountains, rivers, birds and bees, he would help the poor and hungry by giving them food.
ii) What would you do if you were a superhero?
Answer. If I were a superhero I will help the poor people by giving them food, clothes and shelter. I would arrange for education of poor children. I would look after the older people who became lonely at old age. I would plant more trees and make the world green.
iii) What are some of the super powers you would like to have?
Answer. I would like to have the super powers like being invisible, know the minds of others, know if people are unhappy for some reason, know people’s struggles and help them with the best way out. I would reach to anywhere at any time to help others. I would love to know all the world affairs. I would make others happy.
