Nouns : Possessive Class 3 English Grammar Worksheet – Use an apostrophe with “-s”, appropriate expressions, sentences with appropriate apostrophe
Nouns : Possessive
Note : We will learn use the apostrophe (‘) in this chapter. An apostrophe is used to show possession.
‘S is used to singular nouns and plural nouns which don’t end with “-s”
Example – Ravi’s, men’s, children’s etc.
S’ is added to plural nouns ending with “-s”
Example – Boys’, Students’, birds’ etc.
I) Use an apostrophe with“-s” to show possession –
1) Ram – book =

6) Binita – mobile =
II) Use an apostrophe without “-s” to show possession –
1) Soldiers –car =
2) Ladies – room =

6) Fairies – wings =
III) Use appropriate expressions to show possession
1) The house of Akash.
2) The soldiers guns.
3) The washroom of men.

IV) Write the sentences with appropriate apostrophe to show possession –
