Subject: – The misuse and the poor maintenance of public park in our locality.
Respected sir,
The park in our area is in very inappropriate condition. The park is completely filled with the garbage. When someone enters the park they can see the loads of garbage, thrown place to place, which is not good for the health of the people which are going for morning walk or playing in the park. The people are having so many difficulties due to it.
The open gym was made in the park before 5 or 6 years which has very poor maintenance, many item of it are already broken many of them are non working. The broken gym tools are dangerous for the children, when they playing in the park. The walking track is broken and it is not remained able to walk at all. Trees, grass and bushes have been grown tremendously but no one is cutting it.
Park does not have lighting facility thus after the evening this park become dangerous for the alone once. Girls don’t feel safe passing from the park at night as some dishonest people drink in the park and play cards. Thus people which were using park for good purpose wants that, the park should become clean and maintained fully so that we can use it.
Through the column your respected daily newspaper I want to attract Municipalities attraction towards our genuine problem, so please publish this article in your daily.
Thanking you.
Yours faithfully,
Rishikesh Nimbalkar.

Sub: Misuse and poor maintenance of a public park
Sir,
Through your esteemed publication I would like to draw attention of the Government and municipality about the deteriorating condition of the public park in our locality. The park had been constructed just 6 months ago, while most of the benches remain broken for past 2 months, the jogging track pavers have been cracked and are likely to cause injury to the joggers. Most of the slides, and swings have been damaged, thus posing a risk to the children who play on them.
Public funds are not been used in right manner as most of the contractors assigned for these jobs provide poor quality of work and with no further maintenance to the park. I would also suggest that regular trimming of plants and weeding taken up as these cause reptiles and other insects prevail in the park.
The park is been mis-used for several other anti-social activities during late hours, wherein broken alcohol bottles, cans and waste is dumped around the park. Garbage management is also much needed in the park. Also, a security guard to check and ban such anti-social activities within the park premises.
Hoping the Government and municipal authorities take prompt action and restore the park by maintaining it regularly and ban the misuse of the park for anti-social elements through this publication in your newspaper.
Yours sincerely,
Rahul Naik
