Earthquake Composition for Students
Earthquake Composition: Earthquake is the one of the dangerous natural disasters which affects in severe damage. Earthquake means sudden shaking of the earth’s surface for several reasons. But the main reason of earthquake is moving of tectonic plates towards each other. Earthquake is measured by Richter scale which is present in seismogram machine. When the strength level of earthquake crosses level 5 then we face strong trembling and terrible damage for it. When earthquake is minor we cannot even notice or realise its occurring. But the major earthquakes are so devastating that it disrupt the entire nature and its people. The most significant fact is that occurring of earthquake is almost unpredictable which calls several troubles for people around the globe. This composition will illustrate the cause and effects of earthquake.
Forms of earthquakes:
The earth’s surface is formed of tectonic plates which are rocks. The tectonic plates conserve energy within it which makes them to move towards or go away from each other. With the inherent movement and energy pressure is created between two plates when the plates come over to the other and causes fault line. For that movement the earth’s surface starts trembling and the land becomes broken. During volcanic eruption the massive force of magma causes earthquake around the earth’s surface. Earthquake also occurs in the mines and caverns when the entire mine gets collapsed and trembled around the surface. During testing of nuclear weapons if a weapon detonates then big blast happens which calls earthquake.
Adverse effects:
For the constant trembling of the earth’s surface during earthquake faultlines come to the land. This causes major damageto the infrastructure facilities which become completely collapsed. The severity of earthquake majorly depends on magnitude and distance from the epicentre. Geographical condition of a place determines the severity of earthquake at larger level. Earthquake causes landslides which we can experience in hilly regions. Earthquake also causes fire because electricity lines and gas lines can be damaged due to earthquake. Earthquake under seas or oceans creates tsunamis which is also caused by the movement of tectonic plates. For the sudden movement sea waves become larger volumes of water which affects nearby places and buildings. We should protect ourselves by going under any table or bed made of wood when we face occurrence of earthquake.
Conclusion:
Earthquake is undoubtedly a terrible natural calamity which we cannot control. But we can protect ourselves from the severe effects and prevent massive damage of it. The tremendous appearance of earthquake shocks everyone that people become unable to think or take any action. As a result, many people lost their lives and property to this natural disaster.
