A.) Discuss the drainage and house pattern of Mohenjo Daro
Ans: Houses of Mohenjodaro were either one or two storey buildings, with rooms built around a courtyard. Most of the houses have separate bathing areas and had wells to supply water. Houses were built with burnt bricks. The drainage pattern was also well maintained. All the drains are connected to manholes as well as they have gentle slopes so that water could flow through it. All the drains are covered and inspection holes are provided at intervals to clean them
B.) Describe a great bath?
Ans: The most remarkable feature of Mohenjodaro is the Great Bath. It is a part of a large citadel. This building has a large swimming pool, six entrances, galleries and dressing rooms. It was used by the general public during religious ceremonies. There were rooms on all the sides. Water was brought from the well and drained out after use. Water from the adjacent well was used to fill the pool and there was also an outlet for dirty water. It was made with baked bricks and was made watertight with a layer of natural tar.
