Alloys are the mixture of two or more metal formed by mixing the moltan metals thoroughly.
Example: brass (Copper and zinc) , bronze(copper and tin) , solder(tin and lead) , stainless steel (iron chromium and nickel) etc.
Properties of Alloys:
- Alloys do jot corroded or less corroded.
- They are stronger and harder then pure substance.
- They have less conductance than pure metals.
- Some alloys have low melting point than pure metals.
- When metals are alloys that is Hg it is called Amalgam.
